SWIM LESSONS
SWIM LESSONS
Welcome to Swim Lessons with Liesl!
Swimming is for everyone! Water is not just part of life, it is essential to life. We are born from water. Some of us are naturally attracted back to water from a young age and need guidance to develop the skills to safely explore the water. Others of us quickly forget the comfort we felt in the water before birth and need to be reminded of our natural, vital connection to water. Whether you're a true "water baby" or bravely facing your fears in the water, together we can rediscover that connection and build the skills needed to enjoy it safely!
Learning with me, you or your child can look forward to swim lessons tailored to both your skill and comfort levels. We will work together to unlock your innate abilities in the water. We’ll partner in facing gentle challenges that grow your confidence in your strength and skill. Water safety is my top priority so we will learn a lot about how to stay safe while enjoying water fun. My goal is for each learner to become a swimmer who can claim the mental and physical health benefits of swimming confidently. Fill out the registration form to start claiming those benefits for you and your children!
About Instructor
My love of the water began at a young age. As far back as I can remember, water has been a source of peace and fun for me. I attribute that to my family history of harbormasters, sailors, and lifeguards, and to receiving swim lessons of my own as a toddler!
Over the years, I’ve developed my passion for swimming by learning everything I could about the world of aquatics. Through undergraduate and graduate school, I swam for both physical and mental health. As a parent, I swam through three pregnancies and have since had the incredible opportunity to teach my own babies to swim and have them participate in neighborhood swim team.
Now, as a Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI) with pediatric and adult CPR/AED/First Aid certification, I am thrilled to be able to assist you and your children in accessing the peace and joy safe water play can bring to life!
